Two brand new Hypercars are attracting a lot of attention in pit lane at the 6 Hours of Monza. The new Peugeot 9X8 Hypercar is making its racing debut this weekend and is set to compete at Le Mans and in the full FIA World Endurance Championship next year.
The unique design has a ‘Peugeot Hybrid4’ powertrain, meaning a 2.6-litre bi-turbo 680hp (500kw) 90 degree V6 powering the rear and a 200kw electric motor at the front.
Time will tell if it can follow in the footsteps of the legendary 905 and 908 winners of Le Mans in 92, 93 and 2009.
