Kaleb Ngatoa ready for FR Japanese Championship debut

J. A. Russell confirms its support for the young Kiwi

Rising Kiwi motorsport star Kaleb Ngatoa is looking forward to joining the Formula Regional Japanese Championship at Suzuka this weekend.

In an added boost for the 21-year-old from Marton, New Zealand, electrical and data suppliers J.A. Russell has come on board as a major supporter for his Japanese campaign.

“I’m really looking forward to the weekend and getting into it,” said Ngatoa.

“J. A. Russell have been great supporters of me I’m incredibly proud to have their backing. They’re a company with a lot of history and success in New Zealand and for them to believe in me and support me on this journey means a lot.”

Ngatoa recently enjoyed success in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship during his two cameo appearances earlier this year when he won his first race of the season carrying J. A. Russell backing.

The Formula Regional Japanese Championship, part of a series of regional driver development championships certified by motorsport’s world governing body the FIA, utilises similar equipment to that which Ngatoa has proved to be a race winner in his native New Zealand.

Ngatoa’s two races can be watched live on the Formula Regional Japanese YouTube channel at  11:40am and 6:20pm on Sunday 14 May NZT. Ngatoa will race under the Suketina team banner who utilises staff from and have a close working relationship with leading Super Formula team TGM.
